Real converters, real files

Font conversion that actually works

Most online "converters" only rename your file. OmniFonts parses the font structure with a real OpenType engine and re-encodes it into the target format. Every output file is validated before download.

  • TTF, OTF, WOFF, and WOFF2 to any supported target
  • Correct file headers, tables, and glyph data preserved
  • Base64 encoding and decoding with validation
  • Metadata extraction, weight inspection, version checks
  • All processing on-device — no uploads to servers

Frequently asked

Common questions about OmniFonts

What is OmniFonts?

OmniFonts is a free, browser-based font and typography platform with 90+ professional tools. It combines font generators, font converters, typography calculators, font analysis tools, and a curated font library in one cohesive interface.

Are all tools free and account-free?

Yes. Every tool is free to use without registration. Optional preferences such as theme choice, favorites, and recently viewed items are stored only in your browser's local storage.

Are my font files uploaded anywhere?

No. All font conversions, parsing, and analysis run locally in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Font files remain on your device and are never transmitted to a server.

Will Unicode-styled text work everywhere?

Unicode-styled characters work in most modern apps and platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Discord, Facebook, and X. However, they may not render on older devices, may not be readable by screen readers, and are usually not searchable. Use them decoratively rather than for critical information.

Which font formats can I convert?

OmniFonts converts between TTF, OTF, WOFF, and WOFF2 formats, and supports Base64 encoding and decoding. Conversions are performed using a real OpenType parser so output files are valid, not renamed copies.

Can I use generated fonts commercially?

Unicode-styled text generated from your own input contains no copyrighted font data — it is plain text using Unicode code points, so there is no font license restriction. However, always check the license of any font file you download from the library before using it in a commercial project.

Do the tools work offline?

Most generators and typography calculators work after the page has loaded. Font converters, once loaded, also work offline. A full offline mode using a service worker is on the roadmap.
