Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using OmniFonts at https://omni-fonts.pages.dev/ (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of service
OmniFonts provides free, browser-based tools for working with fonts and typography, including but not limited to: Unicode text generators, font file converters, typography calculators, font analysis utilities, developer tools, a curated font library, and editorial content. The Service is provided free of charge and does not require an account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Use the Service to violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right
- Convert, analyze, or redistribute font files that you do not have the legal right to use
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service or its underlying infrastructure
- Use automated means to scrape the Service beyond standard web crawling that respects
robots.txt - Use the Service to generate or distribute content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, or infringing
- Claim the Service's output as your own proprietary work where that would misrepresent its origin
4. Font file handling and licensing
OmniFonts processes your uploaded font files locally in your browser. We do not receive, store, or redistribute those files. However, the fact that the Service technically permits you to convert a font does not mean you have the legal right to do so or to use the result. Check the font's license before conversion and before deployment.
Fonts in the OmniFonts library are distributed under open licenses (SIL OFL 1.1, Apache 2.0) and may be used subject to those licenses. See the Licensing page.
5. No warranty on conversion accuracy
While OmniFonts uses a genuine OpenType parser for all font conversions and does not merely rename files, we make no warranty that any converted font file will work identically to the source in every environment. Font conversion may:
- Preserve all glyph data and metrics in most cases
- Occasionally lose font-specific hinting instructions that affect rendering at small sizes
- Preserve OpenType layout tables (GSUB, GPOS) in most cases but not always perfectly across all font files
We recommend testing any converted font in your target environment before relying on it. See the Disclaimer for further limitations.
6. No warranty on text generators
Unicode text generators produce output by mapping standard characters to styled Unicode code points. This output is real text, but it may not:
- Render correctly on all devices and applications
- Be readable by all screen readers and assistive technologies
- Be searchable by search engines
- Be preserved through every system that handles text
Do not use generated Unicode text for critical information. Use it decoratively.
7. Intellectual property
OmniFonts content
The OmniFonts code, design, original written content, and original illustrations are the property of OmniFonts and are protected by copyright. You may not republish substantial portions without attribution and permission.
Your content
You retain all rights to font files you upload, text you enter, and any other content you create through the Service. We claim no ownership over your input or output.
Fonts in the library
Fonts displayed in the library are the property of their respective designers and are distributed under their respective open licenses. Attribution requirements are described on each font's detail page and in the Licensing page.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service available, but we make no uptime guarantee. The Service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice. We are not liable for any loss caused by Service unavailability or discontinuation.

The Service may contain links to external websites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or terms. Following external links is at your own risk.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OmniFonts and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data, revenue, or business opportunity
- Rendering issues, broken deployments, or font errors in your projects
- Legal or licensing issues arising from your use of any font
- Inability to use the Service
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless OmniFonts and its operators from any claim, damage, or expense arising from your use of the Service in violation of these Terms, or from your use of a font file in a way that violates its license.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator is established. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
13. Changes to terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via a notice on the site and will update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
